WW2 mentioned in despatches group to Captain John Stuart Graham Prentice
John Stuart Graham Prentice was born on the Isle of White. A pre-war regular while serving in the Royal Army Ordnance Corps he was awarded the Long Service Good Conduct Medal with Regular Army bar.
He was commissioned on the 1st of November 1941 as a Lieutenant, continuing to serve in the RAOC. On the 12th March 1943 he was transferred to the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.
Prentice was mentioned in Despatches on the 9th of August 1945 for gallant and distinguished service in North West Europe, at the time he was a temporary Captain. Prentice continued to serve post and finally left the army on the 31st of December 1960 due to his age.
The medals are attached to a piece of card for display. I have found a picture from an online family tree which is supposedly of Prentice, a copy will be included
