William Cooper landed in France on 19th of April 1915 with the 8th Durham Light Infantry. He survived the war and was discharged 9th August 1919. He gave his address as 13 Parmeter Street, South Moor, Stanley.
The group is stapled to a piece of card along with a 1939 to 45 Star, War Medal and DLI cap badge that has had a pin attached. Possibly Cooper saw WW2 service, maybe a battle of France POW?. A good research project
