The information I have, is that he served in the RAMC during WW2.

Group consists of the 1939/45 Star, France and Germany Star, Defence Medal, War Medal , Civil defence LSGC and St Johns Medal and Bar. No 6 Div SJAB is in Felling, near Newcastle
