Military medal group to 7082 WO II C Adlard 1st Bn Northumberland Fusiliers
Charles Adlard was born at Everton in 1881. He enlisted aged 19 in 1900 into the Northumberland Fusiliers. He served in the Boer War and is entitled to a four-bar QSA, he went on to serve in India on the North West Frontier in 1908.
Adlard served in the Great War as a Warrant Officer 2nd Class, earning the Military Medal gazetted 4/5/19 and was MID 27/12/18. Entitled to a pair, Adlard was awarded the LSGC in 1920 and discharged in 1921. In 1922 he was commissioned Lieutenant and Quarter Master in the 7th battalion.

Charles died in Durham in 1944 aged 62.
